What to Expect

As a first time guest, New Life in Christ (NLIC), will not put you on the spot. The only thing we request is that you fill out our visitor's slip, so we have a record of your visit.  If you would like you may also join our email list for Pastor Phil's monthly email. We also encourage you to fill in any prayer concerns you may have. Our Wednesday night prayer group is faithful to lift up all the prayer requests each and every week! Prayer opens a door for God work in our lives. Our prayers are being answered regularly because God is always faithful!

At NLIC we are a casual country church where most of our congregation wears jeans; however, if you prefer to dress up, you are more than welcome.

We begin Sunday morning services at 10:30 am with praise and worship followed by a 20-40 minute message.  Our invitation is for you to come and grow with us!  After service, Pastor Phil and his wife Tammy are available to meet and pray with you. Our Prayer Leader Rosie McGlasson is always available before and after service as well.

On Wednesday nights, service begins at 6:00 pm. Each week we meet for a time of teaching, discussion, and prayer. Wednesdays are a great time to ask questions and gain further understanding of the Bible. Everyone is welcome on Wednesday nights however we do not currently have childcare available. Children are welcome to join us in prayer if they desire.

We like to fellowship after service and visit a while.  Feel free to stick around and get to know us better!

Where to Go

New Life in Christ Church is located in Cedar Creek, Texas just 20 minutes from Austin.  Our church goers live in the surrounding cities of Cedar Creek, Bastrop, Dale, LaGrange, and Austin.   NLIC is located on HWY 21 right across the street from the Cedar Creek Post Office.

Parking is right outside the building with no assigned spots.  Park anywhere you like!

Our church has directional signs outside to show you where to go.  Before Sunday services, we offer free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the kitchen, which is located at the opposite end from the sanctuary.  If you wish to bring your coffee into service, we ask that you sit in the back section, which has a tile floor, in order to prevent spills on our carpet.

If you have children, you can bring them into service with you or drop them off at one of our three classrooms (we do not have classrooms available Wednesday nights at this time). Wee Church for ages 3-5 is located in the back behind the kitchen.  Fun Church for ages 6-11 and J-Walkers for ages 12-17 are located in our Fellowship Hall. Please note, on the 4th Sunday of the month all children 6 and older join the adults in the main service.

Restrooms are located behind the kitchen, in the fellowship hall, and at the back of the sanctuary.

Who We Are

NLIC is made up of many individuals with different backgrounds and life experiences.  We are an inter-denominational church, which means we are not affiliated with any single denomination. Because we are inter- denominational we accept all denominations freely, provided you agree that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. We believe in the famous quote "there is more that unites us than devides us." We are a group of people that have come together because of our love. We love each other, we love the Lord, and we love you!  We often have church dinners, community events, and fun activities!

We believe in making strong connections between the children, youth, and adults. The children and young people bring energy and excitement to our church, while the adults and older generation bring the wisdom and guidance we all need.
