Children and Youth

Sunday Morning Classes

0-2 Years

Wee Church
3-5 Years

Fun Church
6-11 Years

12-17 Years

Our Wee Church teachers share bite size Bible messages for short attention spans!  We offer a mixture of worship, playtime, snacks, and crafts while continually talking about the lesson topic for the day.

Henrietta Yeager and Jessica Godwin teach this class.
At Fun Church, children begin service with Praise and Worship. Kids are encouraged to praise the Lord by singing, jumping, and dancing along with our teachers to the upbeat worship music. Lesson time includes a Bible based curriculum, our current lesson series is Lego themed!

Barbara Hickman teaches this class.
The youth begin service with the Fun Church for worship and then move into their classroom for lesson time. J-Walkers current focus is on talking with God and hearing his voice. The youth also perform puppet skits for the younger children from time to time. This is a great way for them to get involved and understand they are not too young to make a difference!

Rosie McGlasson teaches the youth class.
Our nursery is always open for parents. It is equipped with cribs, rocking chairs, a changing table and toys. This room is available for diaper changes, nursing, or a quiet sleeping area. We do not have nursery teachers available during services at this time.

Wednesday Classes

Stepping Stones Singers
6 yrs. and up

Choir meets on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30 pm (Fall-Spring).  Church membership is not a requirement to be in the group. All children are welcome to attend, no prior music experience is needed. Children will learn proper vocal technique and breath support. Once the children are comfortable singing in unison, we will introduce two part harmony. Performance etiquette will be taught, as well as how to be a true worshiper of God. Occasionally we perform musicals and use class time to teach drama skills and stage direction.

Song selections will be Christian music from different musical styles including some hymns. Performances will be at New Life In Christ Sunday morning services and at the Brodie Ranch Rehab and Nursing Center in Austin, TX.

Pastor Phil and Tammy Ramsey lead the choir. Pastor Phil has a degree in music ministry, from Rhema School of Worship. Pastor Phil has been in music ministry since 1998 with guitar and vocals. He also has experience with oboe, bass guitar, piano, and choir. Tammy has 10 years choral training and experience playing the flute and handbells.
