Come and Grow With Us!

At New Life in Christ church, we believe that everyone can have a new life through Jesus Christ! No matter our past or present situation, Jesus is what we need.  He is our life, our strength, and our hope. In Him we find peace, rest, acceptance, and love.  The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."  It's a new beginning, a fresh start, and a chance to grow!

We are a spirit filled interdenominational church.  Our members come from many different denominational backgrounds with one common belief: the Bible is God's written word and Jesus Christ is God's Son, our Savior.  The Holy Spirit is welcome in our services, and He guides us in all we do.

Just as a tree grows stronger over time, we also grow spiritually.  As we spend time  with Christ and learn about Him, we grow stronger and closer to Him. Whether you're a "small sapling" or a "strong, mighty oak",  we invite you to attend service and come grow with us at NLIC!

Our services are designed to promote spiritual growth by encouraging you to first love God and then show that love to others.  Sunday mornings  we teach the "milk of the word" (1 Peter 2:2) to help new Christians fall in love with God and learn how much He loves us!  Even those who have been Christians for several years need to hear these biblical truths again and again.  We develop  faith by hearing the word of God!  (Romans 10:17) That is also why it is so important for us to meet together each week.  We are a support to each other and we all grow stronger in our faith in Christ by coming together to worship Him.  (Hebrews 10: 23-25)

Next, we encourage individuals to impact their world in some way.  At the grocery store, the gas station, or even at work or school, showing the love of God to others with a kind word or a helping hand is how we can make a difference in our world.  Another way to make an impact is to get involved within the local church.  Join us on prayer nights or help out at one of our events.  On Wednesday nights we teach on the deeper subjects or the "meat" of the word.  We are excited to see individuals hungry for more of Christ in their lives!

Lastly we remind everyone to not get caught up in the cares of this life (Mark 4:19) or forget our first love (Rev. 2:4), but to come back again and again to the pure milk.  Continue meeting together for fellowship and prayer, increasing in faith and understanding.  We all have more to learn and further to grow!

Our Beliefs

"Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work
and build up the church, the body of Christ."
 Ephesians 4:12

Equip God's People to do His work
Once a person asks Jesus to come into their heart and finds freedom in Him, the work begins. All of us know deep down we have a purpose. God gives us each tasks to do in order to help the local church introduce others to Christ. Anyone who has hammered a nail knows it's easier if you have the correct tool.  You can hammer in a nail with a book, tape measure, or the end of a screw driver. However, you will have a harder time completing the job.  When you use the correct tool for the job, the results turn out better, and it's much easier to complete.

The Word tells us that we are "co-laborers" together with Jesus (1 Cor. 3:9); therefore, He determines where we are to work and what work is to be done. God's primary concern is people who are lost.  Since there are so many different methods to reach the lost, we need to be able to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit to know what method to use where. Once we know which method to use, it helps if we already know how to use that method.

We are here as a support to you not only for encouragement and to strengthen your walk with the Lord, but also to help equip you for whatever tasks the Lord gives you.

The first part of our mission is to equip believers with the tools they need such as love, compassion, and endurance to accomplish God's work.  We then empower believers to use these tools to reach out to others and teach the message of Christ's love and sacrifice for all mankind.

Build up the Church which is the body of Christ

"The Church" is anyone who has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.  There are thousands, maybe millions of Christian churches, around the world.  But, "The Church" is a made up of individual believers from many different church denominations, unified as the body of Christ.

Christ is the head of the church, and just like in our physical bodies, the head directs the body.  We are the body with Christ (the head) giving us direction.  Without the hands and feet the body could not move, and without the eyes it could not see.  Every believer is needed in order to produce the best results.

The second part of our mission is to strengthen and develop our church body.  When our physical body is healthy, it functions better.  So when the church body is spiritually healthy and strong, it also functions better.
